October is here!

Dear BUES Community,
October is here, and we have so many exciting activities planned for our students at Brown Upper Elementary School! Below is our October calendar highlighting upcoming events. As each event gets closer, we will share additional information and reminders with our families.

St. Jude Fundraiser – Nacho Sale

We are excited to begin our St. Jude fundraising efforts this month! Our first fundraiser will be a Nacho Sale on Friday, October 16.
For $5.00, students will receive cheese nachos and a drink. Purchases can also be made via cash or through SchoolCash Online. Here is the link for the cashless system. https://websterpdb.schoolcashonline.com/
We are asking families to purchase nachos Monday, October 12, through Wednesday, October 14, so that we have enough time to order and prepare everything for Friday. We hope you will join us in supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through this wonderful event. Every purchase helps us support an important cause while giving our students a special treat!

Parent Conferences

Parent conferences will be held when we return from Fall Break, with each grade level assigned a specific conference day.
When you arrive, you will sign in and receive a number. Teachers will call numbers in order when they are ready to meet with each family. To help us serve all of our families efficiently, each conference will be limited to approximately 15 minutes.

If additional time is needed, parents will have the opportunity to schedule a more in-depth conference with the teacher for a later date. During your conference, you will receive your child’s report card and other important academic data, and you will have an opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their teacher.
